I’M SELLING? WHERE ARE MY DEEDS?

This is the very first question you should ask yourself if you are thinking of selling in 2018.   This question in turn should help to remind you that it is only your Solicitor who can legally secure a Sale for you.   Going SALE AGREED will not achieve a Sale for your property; exchanging Contracts via your Solicitor will.

So, what about those Deeds?   If there is a Mortgage on your house, your Deeds will be with your Lender.   If not, the Deeds are most likely to be with the Solicitor who acted on your purchase.

You are, of course, entitled to use the Solicitor of your personal choice for your sale   You are not confined to dealing with the Solicitor who acted on your purchase.

The Solicitor on your sale should be one that is experienced around Property Sales and is the right personal fit for you.

And, do you know what? Well, no matter where those deeds are hiding, your Solicitor will find them for you !

What else will your Solicitor do for you and how will he/she help ensure that you do not lose that Sale?   Simply stated, your Solicitor will  do his/her  job and put you first in your sale transaction.   After all, it is your Sale!
